The IDF is the UK's leading independent doctors' organisation providing support, education, advice and networking.
We originally created the first IDF website in 2009 to help the admin team manage their growing membership of independent doctors and corporate sponsors, originally facilitating membership communications, records keeping, and event booking as well as presenting both public and member only content.
Since then, the website and functionality has continued to evolve as the membership and admin team, and the services offered by the IDF, have grown over time, with major new pieces of functionality being added on a regular basis over the years.
In 2019 we started a process of a complete upgrade of the site, primarily visually, but with significant development of processes and functionality. The website supports and facilitates the day to day work of a large admin team working both in the office and from home – the public facing part of the website is in fact a very small proportion of what the system does for the team.
We came to Sarah with a clear idea of what we would like our new website to do for us, but without the expertise to know what was technically possible. Sarah and Max were able to talk it through in language that made sense to us, and then carefully and methodically built us a site that does all we had hoped it would.
The content management system is easy to use and the back-end functions have streamlined our internal processes. Since the site's initial completion we have needed to make a number of upgrades and these have been handled smoothly and efficiently.
Due to the nature of the functionality required, the process itself was quite complicated, but we were kept well informed of progress and were able to make contact with Sarah when we needed to.
We have received positive feedback from both members and the public and are delighted with the site Sarah and Max have built for us. We are very grateful to them both."
